Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 5, 2026

Short version: We store the log content you submit and your IP address temporarily for rate limiting. We use Google Analytics for anonymous usage statistics. We do not sell or share data with third parties. Log content is deleted automatically according to the rules described below.

1. Data We Collect

OpenUtils Report collects only what is strictly necessary to operate the Service:

We do not collect names, email addresses, browser fingerprints, device identifiers, or any other personal information. No account creation is required or possible.

2. How We Use This Data

3. Data Retention

Log content is retained according to the following rules and then permanently deleted:

IP addresses used for rate limiting are deleted within 2 minutes of collection.

There is no manual deletion interface. If you need a report deleted before its natural expiry, contact us at [email protected] with the report URL.

4. Cookies and Tracking

The Service uses Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) to collect anonymous usage data — pages visited, approximate geographic region, browser type, and session duration. This data is aggregated and used solely to understand how the Service is used. Google Analytics may set cookies in your browser for this purpose, in accordance with Google's Privacy Policy.

No other tracking, profiling, advertising, or fingerprinting software is used. There is no advertising of any kind.

5. Third Parties

Network traffic to the Service passes through Cloudflare infrastructure, which acts as a reverse proxy and provides DDoS protection. Cloudflare may process connection metadata (IP addresses, request headers) in accordance with Cloudflare's own privacy policy. OpenUtils does not share any stored log content with Cloudflare or any other third party.

No other third-party services are involved in the operation of this Service.

6. Content You Submit

Reports are accessible to anyone with the URL. Report URLs are not listed or indexed by the Service itself, but they may be indexed by search engines if shared publicly. Do not submit logs containing sensitive credentials, private keys, passwords, or personal data belonging to others.

If your log content contains personal data about third parties, you are responsible for ensuring you have the right to store and share that data.

7. Your Rights

If you are located in the European Union or another jurisdiction with applicable data protection laws, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or request deletion of data we hold about you.

Given that the Service is anonymous by design, we have no way to associate stored reports with a specific individual without the report URL. To request deletion of a specific report, contact us with the URL at [email protected].

8. Changes to This Policy

This policy may be updated at any time. The date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. We will not make changes that significantly expand data collection without clearly noting the change and updating that date.

9. Contact

Questions or requests regarding this privacy policy can be directed to [email protected].
